 Insurance

You are required to keep a valid health insurance policy while you are in the United States (as noted on the I-20). You must purchase health insurance in the International Student Program office before the session begins or during the orientation. The cost is $61.50 per month; however, the policy is not available to purchase month-to-month. ALCI students purchase a 4 to 7 month package, depending on the term in which they begin their studies. The specific amount and period of health insurance will be detailed in the admission letter. This fee may be paid by credit card, or by check made out to "Nationwide Life Insurance Company". This fee is subject to change without notice.

 Cancellations and Refunds

You will receive a full refund if you cancel in writing with the International Student Program Office at any time up to and including the end of the first day of ALCI class. If you cancel in writing on or before the eighth day of ALCI class, we will deduct $200.00 per week of attendance from your refund amount. (Students who have attended any part of 1 class day during a week will be charged for the entire week of instruction.) After the end of the second week of instruction, no refunds or program fee credits will be given. Application fees are not refundable under any circumstances. The unused portion of the Cultural Activities Fee will be refunded to students who withdraw in writing with the International Student Program Office by the end of the second week of ALCI class.
